Lands End Documentary

Searching for relief from isolation after San Francisco's historic swim clubs close in the pandemic in 2020, swimmers plunge through the surf into the Pacific Ocean.

As they swim West outside the Golden Gate, they struggle to avoid hypothermia and navigate powerful ocean currents to discover sheer cliffs, rocks covered with sea life, foaming surf, harbor seals, pelicans, sun and fog. Jumping into these unpredictable waters, swimmers of all types find freedom, adventure, and the healing effects of swimming in untamed places.
